Before starting asabell in 2004 Darren worked in sales, marketing and communications for four FTSE-100 companies. At NatWest he didn't really do much. At Lloyds, where he was one of their youngest-ever managers, he launched left-handed cheque books and telephone banking. At BT he was responsible for the marketing and operations of their largest business unit and at O2 he was responsible for all of their channel communications. An award-winning radio presenter in his youth, he now plays the drums in a band and can juggle (four balls or three daughters).

Hayley joined asabell in 2006 after seven long years in advertising and marketing for the education sector. As well as her love for all things ‘film’, Hayley can normally be found accessorising her outfits weeks in advance to ensure she looks her best - well you never know when you might meet a celebrity, as she recently discovered when she ran into (not literally) Shane Ritchie in a local Bristol restaurant!

Louise almost began a broadcast career aged 10 on Radio 4's Food Programme, utterly disappointing her farming father when she announced to the nation, "I don't like vegetables". So a farmer she was not, and after a media writing degree and two years in TV production, Louise brings her media expertise to asabell. As side-lines she is the animal girl on children's radio station Fun and occasionally a chef extraordinaire - just ask about the Wickedwich next time you speak to her!

Alexa started out in banking because she fancied the power-dressing but soon realised that didn’t make up for the tedium. She retrained as a qualitative market researcher and worked both agency and client side, mainly on advertising and packaging, until a desire to work on broader campaigns prompted another change of direction. Her turning point came when asked to spend a week and thousands of pounds deciding whether the wallpaper in an advert should be blue or pink. Alexa now writes copy for asabell and enjoys not knowing what each working day will bring.

David joined asabell in September, looking for a fresh challenge after running his own shop for six years. Before that he studied accountancy while working for a construction company. Apart from his work, David has three main passions in life – following sport, particularly Formula One, cooking and gardening. His interest in gardening stems from his farming roots and his love of baking makes him extremely popular in the office.

Dan joined us in July as our placement student and will be with us for a whole year. As well as making a good brew, he has time in his busy schedule to work with us in the client services department. A marketing student at the University of the West of England, Dan has an ambition to be an entrepreneur and was runner-up in the university’s BizIdea competition last year. He has also recently signed up to swim, cycle and run in the Blenheim Triathlon next June but will need to keep his hand out of the asabell sweetie jar!
