indian summer
We’ve worked closely with BT for four years, so when they outsourced their campaign delivery function to India in April, we wanted to do all we could to support them in this new venture. Wanting to build relationships with this new part of BT that are as strong as our relationships with BT UK, we decided to make a house call. The chance to put names to faces and work in person with the people we had only spoken to was invaluable, and well worth the expense of the journey. As the first representative from an agency to visit the new office, I couldn’t have asked for more welcoming hosts.
I went to India to foster our relationship and showcase all that asabell does, but I also relished the glimpse of Indian life my trip offered. I was whisked away to sample ‘real’ Indian street food and bartered (with a lot of help) for fine fabrics and jewellery, all the while soaking up the culture and vibrant colours of India. I learnt first hand that the commute (two hours!) is one of many challenges faced by staff on a daily basis, and the longer working hours and intense heat had me flagging by day two. However, I found the whole experience incredibly rewarding. Visiting India is something I urge everyone to do; it truly is a magical place that comes to life once the sun has set.
My time to leave came too soon. I’d like to say a big thank you to my hosts for their hospitality and for welcoming me to their country. They’ve really made me feel like a part of their team.
We are dedicated to building strong relationships with our clients. If you’d like to learn more about our capabilities or would like a competitive quote for your next campaign, please get in touch at hayley@asabell.co.uk
