carbon footprints against the tide
You may have noticed that discussions about looming recession, a confidence crisis in the banking sector and the credit crunch are pushing all other issues to one side. Business uncertainty is high and consumer confidence is fragile, resulting in a low profile for the green agenda at the moment.
For some organisations this will be a welcome opportunity to hop off the green bandwagon quietly and give up their half-hearted efforts to reduce their carbon footprint.
At asabell our commitment to carbon reduction is unwavering. We continue to be careful with the little things in the hope that the big things, like the future of the planet, will follow. We believe Stuart Rose, Marks & Spencer CEO has the right approach, “we could have heeded the critics who said, ‘Times are tough, best ditch the fluffy stuff’. But we didn’t.”
PS Hayley’s flight to India to visit a client’s new office generated 3.095 tonnes of CO2. In order to off-set these emissions we have made a pledge to the Wind Energy Project in Harshnath, India.
