Getting to know a new client is an exciting and exhilarating time; new dynamics to understand and fresh issues to grapple with.
Our first challenge from British Gas Business was to help their sales force win business from the competition. Drawing on our experience of motivating sales teams we put in place a light-hearted but effective campaign. A teaser of posters and chocolates sparked an interest we followed up with a launch conference call to explain the background, outline the campaign and launch the incentive scheme. This was supported by posters, attention-grabbing custom-made cardboard cut-outs and the launch of a giant wall of fame to recognise and track progress in a stunningly visual way. The combination of humour, impact and a well thought out campaign caught the imagination and is already bringing results.
Building on this success, our next challenge was to find a way to monitor sales progress against targets over the year in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly way. Squeezing every drop of value from a budget and minimising environmental impact is second nature to us. So rather than printing new posters each month, we recommended tracking progress using a custom-made magnetic white board with magnetic markers and space to write on updates whenever required. The boards are already in use, saving BGB £5,000 and helping us both meet our commitments to reducing carbon emissions.
